Things to do in Killorglin are many and varied and visitors to our beautiful part of Kerry will find much that pleases them. Angling on the River Laune is a great pastime enjoyed by local and visitor alike. The Kerry Way provides great walking and hiking tours. The Wild Atlantic Way provides great tours for motorists and for cyclists. These are options to be enjoyed by the more intrepid explorers but there are also other options to choose. We have some great traditional bars in Killorglin and some renowned local restaurants. We also have the Puck Fair Festival which is held in August for three days.
Killorglin is located on the Ring of Kerry and the Wild Atlantic Way and is also near Killarney, in the south west of Ireland. According to some, Killorglin means Orgla’s Church which gives the town its name. Puck Fair is a 3 day festival which is held each year on the dates August 10th, 11th and 12th. A full Irish Breakfast can be had at our accommodation in Killorglin – sometimes as late as 5.15 pm! You will have to book your late breakfast with us, but why not? Hotels in Killorglin, not that there are many, do not always offer a great Ring of Kerry bed and breakfast – but we do, however late your stay.
