Welcome to the Laune Bridge House Gallery
We have included a number of images taken by our happy guests. These show some of the activities you can enjoy right here in Killorglin. As you can see from the first selection the Laune Bridge House Gallery images, it really does overlook the River Laune! We are ideally situated for you to take advantage of many water sports. Because of location, many locals also use the facilities, not just visitors. As a result, Canoeing is just one possibility for our guests also enjoy. While hiking through the area may be tiring, other guests choose less strenuous options. As a result, many visitors decide to go fishing in the Laune which is famous for its Salmon. Traditional fishing in Ireland includes ‘tickling’ the fish – an ancient art which only experts can master! View an example of fish tickling here! Other images you can view on this page include the statue of the world famous King Of Puck. Each year a wild goat is chosen to be King of Puck Fair for a week. The tradition goes back several hundreds of years and it is thought that the original King Puck saved Killorglin from invasion. To this day a fair is held in honour of the goat. For 3 days in August – 10th, 11th and 12th – a wild goat presides over the merry making and trading which take place in the town. Towards the end of the Laune Bridge House Gallery Page you can view the rooms that are available. As you can see, the rooms are comfortable and modern and provide an ideal resting place after a hard day (or night!) of enjoying yourself.
